My Most Recent Scrapbooking Feats!

Just some pics of the most recent scrapbook pages I completed - for your enjoyment!

Number 98

So I officially have less than 2 years left before I have to finish all of these goals - The pressure is on!

This past weekend I marked off another one of my goals - Skydiving.

I don't know if just not thinking about it made it less scary or what but I jumped out of a plane with a man attached to my back and a sheet attached to his and we survived! :D When you first can see directly outside without some kind of window or wall between you and the outside- I think THAT is when it finally hits you. "Shit. Here we go."

Some things I didn't think about before going up:

1. With nothing between you and the sky, it's gonna be cold. I stupidly wore shorts. And for the first minute before my body could adjust, I froze to death.

2. Wearing shorts is also not a good idea because those harnesses rub against your thighs like crazy! I walked funny for a good hour after we jumped.

I think it helped not really giving it much thought before I went. I think its easy to scare yourself out of doing it. Also, there's a lot of paperwork you sign before you get to go up and jump - of which about every other paragraph on 12 sheets worth of 'initial here' and 'sign here' consisted of "skydiving is dangerous. you may die." I tried to read as little as possible of that stuff so I could just get it over with.

Once you're out of the plane its like the most surreal experience you'll ever live through. I know I've been more scared of a roller coaster ride because of the height, etc than I was jumping out of a damn plane 13,000 feet above the Earth! That is so crazy to think! I'm not sure I'll do it again. I think that if I do I'll want to jump solo. Ya know - take it to the next level ;)

Here's some pics from Sunday's jump with Skydive Houston.

Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.-Galatians 6:2

Yesterday, I found myself ranting seemingly endlessly about people in my life and my inability to understand others' dealings with thier trials. But as this verse was sent to me today by grace of God, I think I will try to be patient with others and their dealings, even though I still don't understand. I will try and help them, pull them up as Christ would have me do. It's not my place to judge and I will vow to try and not do so. I will walk the path of Christ. Pray for me.

101 List
Number 83: Get a passport.

Surprisingly it was no big feat to accomplish. I sent off for my passport on a Thursday and it was in my mailbox by the following Saturday. It only took 9/10 days! Totally shocking! Makes me wonder why I didn't get one sooner.I guess I just needed motivation to get one, which I have now because I'm going to MI for training and some co-workers and I are going to try to go to Canada, since we'll be so close to the border. Very exciting stuff. I can't wait! Oh! Which reminds me, I need to charge my camera battery! Ta!

Number 61

101 List

Number 61: Buy prescription sunglasses.

Yes I know it seems like a luxury expense to buy prescription sunglasses but I was tired of wearing sunglasses over my regular glasses all ghetto like. lol

Anyways, every time I put them on I think of this song:

And then it makes me laugh because it was Amanda's, my best friend, favorite song for like a year in high school. I think of her jamming and dancing like only a white girl could. lol. It makes me smile just to think of it.
I always sing a bit of the chorus when I put em on. And trade out the word cheap for expensive. lol 'Cuz if ya' didn't know, apparently putting tint on prescription lenses is an extremely expensive thing to do. (sarcasm) It doesn't matter though, money comes and money goes but I make them look good. Ha ha.

So.... I've been busy. Obviously right? Hence my absence.

But to update ya, I went to NC and marked off Number 10: Visit Amanda in NC to prove Matt wrong.

This stemmed from last year's road trip to NC with Amanda and the amazing Micah to help her move to NC for a Summer with Matt. The actual road trippin' was awesome! We were sleep deprived - baby included, poor guy. And as usual we had several mini adventures. lol. We did a tour of Elvis' Graceland, Micah got chicken pox? - we're still not really sure what those bumps were lol, slept in a Kmart parking lot, oh and of course we started the trip late because Amanda lost something. lol Classic Chatham move. :)

Anyways after getting there, I helped move her in, get set up, etc. But after being there a few days, my city girl lifestyle was not having the small town limitations. I was bored off my butt. I tried entertaining myself. Forced Amanda to go out. lol. Matt joked that he knew I'd never come back because I was so restless for the entire week after we got there. lol.

So this year, toward the end of June, I went up to NC to visit Amanda - and prove Matt wrong. We attended a scrapbook convention, nerded it up. I seriously think we were the youngest people there. We had a ton of fun though. We walked around and all the women were so nice! They taught us all these different tricks of the trade- it was awesome. We even made time to go out while I was there. Typical Tera-Chatham style! Wine, beer and a couple tequila shots later, we were cracking up and had the men graveling and trying to teach us how to shoot pool. It was good times. :)

I wasn't very adamant about taking lots of photos. But if I had to pick just one photo that sums up the trip it'd be the following:
"Passed out from too much fun :) "
